Who Can Join?
Any orthopaedic, plastic, general and rehab specialist with special interests in the management of Hand Surgery cases can join Pakistan Society for Surgery of the Hand (PSSH)
General Requirements
Professional Credentials
- A recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or an equivalent medical board.
Specialized Training
- Completion of a PMDC recognized fellowship or equivalent training in hand surgery or upper limb surgery for Full Membership.
- Demonstrable clinical experience in hand surgery for at least 2 years (exceptions can be made for early-career surgeons pursuing specialization).
Commitment to PSSH Goals
- Active participation in advancing the field of hand surgery.
- Adherence to PSSH’s ethical standards and guidelines.
Membership Crieria

Choose your membership according to your experience and expertise.
Full Membership
• Fellowship-trained hand surgeon or equivalent credentials.
• At least 2 years of professional practice in hand surgery.
• Contribution to research, publications, or teaching in hand surgery is preferred.
Associate Membership
• Open to medical trainees, general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and plastic surgeons with an interest in hand surgery.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in the field (e.g., participation in workshops, conferences, or courses).
Honorary Membership
• Reserved for distinguished professionals, researchers, or pioneers in hand surgery or related fields.
• Nominations must be approved by the PSSH executive committee.
• Exempt from membership fees.
Institutional Membership
• Open to hospitals, research centers, and training institutes involved in hand surgery.
• Must provide evidence of active contributions to the discipline (e.g., hosting training programs, conducting research).

A recommendation letter from an existing Full Member of PSSH (for Full and Associate Membership).
Payment
Payment of annual membership fees (except Honorary Members).
Membership Maintenance
To maintain active PSSH membership, members should engage in society activities, adhere to ethical standards, and renew annually through dues and participation verification. Staying involved ensures access to resources and continued professional growth.

- Maintaining good standing within the medical community and adherence to PSSH’s Code of Ethics.
- Annual membership renewal through fee payment and activity verification.
Membership Revocation
Membership may be revoked for:
